I mean it.
I'm SO glad this year is over. Not that I'm expecting the '2' changing to a '3' to instantly make everything better, but it feels good to put a truly frustrating year behind me. Good riddance, 2012. I got to know some wonderful people this year, finished university and even learned to make mean sushi - so it wasn't all bad. But still.
Fresh year, better prospects, renewed vigour and all that jazz.

My resolution is simple: Employment. Everything else can come after.

- {DONE}A Piccohan squee ('Naptime' 'Siesta') I've been procrastinating for a while (I actually finished the drawing itself ages ago but because I hate drawing grass, it's incomplete)
- {DONE} My entry for the PiccoloFanClub New Year contest
- {Done} A DBZ/Ouran High School Host Club crossover encounter (I promise it makes more sense than it sounds)

And, of course, more. These are just the ones I'm currently working on.

I suck at keeping journals.
I'm also very erratic with my uploads. Sorry. I am writing this to keep myself slightly more organized.

In the works I have some more Piccolo-related things (naturally):
- another Piccohan cuteness coming very soon;
- a Sailor Moon inspired joke drawing that was based off a crossover pairing between Piccolo and Sailor Jupiter (it will make more sense later) (and yes, because they're both tall, green, pink, and awesome);
- A Piccolo x Chichi sweet/slightly-ahem drawing (damn you ... this is mostly yours and Bucky's fault... gah)     
- and maybe if I'm feeling generous to share, a really ugly drawing I originally drew for the DBU Halloween Contest - and went to the trouble of colouring - before I abandoned it and decided to go with Gohan's Piccolo costume. Le sigh. I'll likely upload it on Halloween in lieu of a costume party because I'll be recovering from dental surgery that day T_T

There's a fanfiction being played with, it's a bit of romance, a bit of suspense, a bit of comedy, but it's underdeveloped on the whole, despite some chapters being finished. May share later on with illustrations if I'm feeling up to it (and obviously if anyone is faintly interested).

I don't plan on stopping the DBZ fanart stuff anytime soon (it's way too much fun), but I hope to have a couple of totally original, non-fanart things coming soonish, and I'm really excited to start working on them.

I really meant to do some Pony art but my muse is kind of biased right now. Maybe when season 3 starts

For anyone who's hoping to see more DBZ fanart or has put in a request:

I've got a mammoth deadline coming up in a couple of weeks (masters dissertation) and will be very busy with finishing that and packing up to move, so I don't plan to churn out very many submissions during this period (technically I shouldn't be doing anything else at all, but procrastination is a powerful force).

However.

I have a few pieces I'm working on here and there in the background during my breaks (a couple of Piccolo-centric digital drawings (naturally), some crossover stuff, and doodles) as well as a couple of requests (Piccolo and baby Gohan, a bit of Saiyaman) I promise I will do when I have more time. If I happen to finish any of these in the meantime, I'll post them; but for the time being, my concentration is and ought to be dedicated 100% to my dissertation. I will be back to normal around mid-September. If anyone wants a request, feel free to still note me one, just be aware that I won't be back at full capacity until then. But I will reward you for your patience

Oh, and there's a costume party coming up on the day of the deadline (what fantastic timing!) and of course I'm going as kid Gohan, because hell yes. I may or may not post a photo.

My new shipment of Promarkers and uni pin fineliners just came, so rest assured: I plan to use them!
